All Bottled Up
Stained glass art was a hobby I had enjoyed for over 20 years before I discovered the method of working with recycled glass and heat.
Ten years ago, I fell in love with the idea of creating art that was beautiful, colorful and earth friendly. It wasn’t long after that my eco-friendly small business was born. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where I find inspiration for my art every day. I spent over 25 years in the corporate world but am now happily retired and pursuing my lifelong dream of building a small business around my art. While I am the creative artist behind the artwork, I am not all alone in this adventure. I am blessed with a husband who has an engineering brain who keeps all the equipment working, the studio safe and manages to transport my creations to over 50 exhibits every year without any breakage!

The product process
To set my recycled bottle glass charcuterie boards apart from the generic, I permanently kiln-carve my unique designs into each tray. I also keep the neck of the bottle open through the firing process to snugly holster the free handmade bottle stopper I include as a set. The firing process takes about 15 hours. Once cooled, I pair each server with a handcrafted recycled glass wine-stopper that compliments each design. I create the recycled glass adornments for my wine stoppers using the ancient glass kiln casting technique of pate de verre. My designs are all inspired from nature, so I strive to mix colors that are most true & natural. I create my ornaments and suncatchers from all types of discarded glass destined for the landfill. The kiln firing process for each suncatcher is 15 to 20 hours. They are safe to hang outdoors if you wish and catch the sunlight in a spectacular way.
