Ana the Artist
I am Ana the Artist. I am a classically trained fine artist, illustrator, and photographer. Growing up, I always aspired to be a full-time artist. I put my whole self into my work, determined to make it in the world of art. From a young age, I was captivated by Portrature and decided that would be my main focus. As a Portrait artist, I needed references to practice, so while at art school, I picked up a camera to create original references. This led me to photograph everything in sight. I then began to mix my photo work with my artwork and made original pieces that came from moments In my life that hold tremendous meaning.
This launched me into turning my passion into a profitable business. I now sell and display my art in many locations around Vancouver, do commission artwork worldwide and run a portrait photography business. I hope that my work is not only beautiful but that it captives people and demands their attention. I want others to look at my work and feel the peace that I felt when I created it, and I want them to be as inspired as I was when the idea came to my mind.

The product process
My art creation process differs from medium to medium. In terms of my stickers, I first need an idea. From that idea I create the first sketch. The sketch then gets put away for a while so that I can come back to it with fresh eyes. After some time, I make revisions to the sketch then begin to add details like color or pen work. Once the artwork is completed I then set up my photo studio and take a professional photo of the work. This photo gets put into my computer, cropped and then sent off to my sticker printing company, who I love, and it mailed back to me in a week. The stickers are then ready to be sold!
