Cruise the Couve 2021

Cruise the Couve 2021

Building on a 70+ Year Tradition

Building on a cruising tradition that dates back over 70 years in Vancouver, Cruise the Couve celebrates a piece of local culture that began in the 1950s, when Main Street became the place to see and be seen on a Saturday night.

What started as a grassroots tradition has evolved into a full-day community event—bringing together classic cars, local businesses, and thousands of spectators to relive and reimagine that timeless experience.

Be part of the tradition. Be part of our next chapter!

The Experience

Each summer, Cruise the Couve transforms Main Street into a rolling showcase of classic cars and community pride.

  • Hundreds of classic, custom, and vintage cars cruising all day

  • Thousands of attendees lining the streets (5,000–10,000+ throughout the day)

  • All-day atmosphere—with people arriving as early as 10 AM to claim their spot

  • Local food, shopping, and entertainment across Uptown and Downtown

Bring a lawn chair, watch the cruise from the sidewalk, grab a bite from a local business, explore the local vendors and settle in—the energy builds all day and peaks as the sun goes down and the cruise comes alive.

Cruise Details

  • Cruise runs along Main Street between 28th and 15th

  • The cruise event officially starts at 12 PM, but people tend to show up as early as 10 AM to claim a great sidewalk viewing spot and then stay all day!

  • Chrome & Craft Market Alley runs from 3-8:30pm

  • All normal traffic laws apply

  • Respect the community—obey the laws and be cool!
