Meet the Maker

Joseph Ziemba

Book restoration and journal crafting became my new profession after spending 25 years in the Washington DC as a CPA and CFO of 2 large not-for-profit organizations. While living in the DC area I attended numerous classes and workshops in traditional English bookbinding at the Smithsonian Institution.

In addition to the restoration of mainly 19th century classics I design and create journals and diaries using fine leather, hand crafted marbled and decorative papers. Periodically he conducts classes in Hand Bookbinding.
